The Mafic Collection draws inspiration from the stark, monochromatic, alpine regions of the High Sierra. The geologic term, 'mafic,' refers to dark colored igneous rock rich in magnesium and iron. Light colored sierra granitic bodies are often beautifully interspersed with areas of dark mafic rock. Raw, understated, timeless. A collection rooted in the balance of opposites.
